Custom clothing for a gym or a fitness coach
To kit out a gym team or a fitness coach, go for three custom garments: a technical t-shirt for sessions, a tank top for arms-free classes, a hoodie for the front desk. On tknp.io, each one is customised from 10 of the same reference, at the displayed price with decoration included.
In short, for a gym team:
- The session t-shirt: a technical, unisex model such as the B&C Active T kits out every coach with a single product reference.
- The decoration: our pages rate wash resistance as excellent for screen printing and embroidery, very good for DTF transfer, the one our inspirations go for on polyester.
- The minimum and the lead time: 10 of the same reference, then 10 working days of customisation as standard according to our FAQ, shipping on top.
- The logo: the logo library in your account finds the gym's logo from its name or its website.
In a gym, members need to spot a coach at a glance, while the coach moves in the same outfit all day and washes it over and over. Custom gym clothing does that job, and when the staff like it, they keep it on after work, with the gym's name on show.
This guide is for the manager of a gym, a fitness club or a yoga studio kitting out a team for the season, for the independent coach who wants an outfit with their own brand, and for the gym getting ready for an opening or a weekend challenge. It draws on tknp.io product pages reread on 26 October 2026: three garments, one for each moment of the day, the decoration that survives the washing machine, prices from 10 to 100 garments, the minimum, the lead time, then how to find the gym's logo.
Which clothes should you customise for a gym or a fitness coach?
To kit out a gym team, from coaches to front-desk staff, or an independent coach, three garments make up an outfit for the whole day: a technical t-shirt to run sessions, a tank top for arms-free classes, and a hoodie for the front desk and after the workout. Here are the models we picked on tknp.io for each moment:
| The moment | The garment (tknp.io product page) | Fabric | Sizes |
|---|---|---|---|
| The session | B&C Active T, unisex technical t-shirt | birdseye knit, 100% recycled polyester | XS to 3XL |
| Arms-free classes | Stanley/Stella Stanley Stancer, men's tank top | organic cotton, 180 g/m² | S to 3XL |
| Arms-free classes | Stanley/Stella Stella Ava, women's tank top | organic cotton, 180 g/m² | XS to XXL |
| Front desk and after the workout | Just Hoods College Hoodie, unisex hoodie | 80% cotton, 20% polyester, 280 g/m² | XS to 5XL |
Fabric, weight and sizes read on each model's product page; the College Hoodie's composition as shown in our hoodies range. To see more models picked for fitness, our Fitness & wellness selection brings together 12 of them, leggings and a towel included.
Cotton or polyester? Our sports t-shirts page puts it simply: cotton soaks up sweat and keeps it, while polyester carries it away from the skin. Choosing between the two, by effort and by use, is a topic in its own right.
The t-shirt your members buy for themselves is another matter: that is the gym's merch, and on tknp.io it is sold through a pre-sale on a Store, reserved for verified organisations.
Which custom t-shirt should a fitness coach wear?
For a fitness coach, take a technical t-shirt to customise, such as the B&C Active T, which its product page lists as breathable, quick-drying and washable at 60 °C. It is a unisex model in birdseye knit, 100% recycled polyester, with raglan sleeves, from XS to 3XL, so a single reference kits out the whole team, male and female coaches alike.
It carries the Best-seller tag in our sports t-shirts range, and its page also offers it in black, navy, royal blue, red and green, as well as white.
Where should the logo go on a coach's t-shirt?
For a coach to be spotted from the front and from the back, put a small logo over the heart and a large one on the back. The tknp.io inspiration titled "Custom performance tee: chest logo, name on the back" calls it "the classic of coaches, staff and teams", with 8 cm over the heart and 25 to 28 cm on the back. That name is the gym's or the club's, the same on every t-shirt, not a name for each person. Another one, designed for a gym, puts a 22 to 26 cm varsity logo large on the front.
We advise two decorations at most on one garment, in the same technique: each position is priced separately, and the prices in this guide include only one. The designer, opened from these models' product pages with the "Customise online" button, shows the position and the real size of the decoration before you order. For the sizes and heights of each position, our guide on where to put a logo on a t-shirt goes into detail.
Tank top or t-shirt: what do staff wear during classes?
The tank top does not replace the coach's t-shirt: it adds to the outfit for classes where the coach prefers to keep their arms free. At tknp.io, the Stanley Stancer, a Stanley/Stella men's tank top, is cut from a 180 g/m² organic cotton jersey, spun then combed, in a medium fit, from S to 3XL; the Stella Ava, a women's tank top from the same brand with a fitted cut and a scoop neck, also weighs 180 g/m², from XS to XXL.
Their product pages state GOTS and OEKO-TEX certification: these labels cover the blank tank top, as the brand makes it, and not the decoration you have added to it.
Which custom hoodie works for the front desk and after workouts?
For the front desk, the warm-up and leaving the gym, choose a hoodie that coaches keep on between classes: the Just Hoods College Hoodie weighs 280 g/m² with a blend of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, a lined hood and a kangaroo pocket, from XS to 5XL. Unisex like the Active T, it comes in white, black and many other colours on its product page.
Which decoration holds up to frequent washing in a gym?
For gym clothing that goes through the washing machine constantly, our decoration pages rate wash resistance as "Excellent" for screen printing and embroidery, and "Very good" for DTF transfer. Choosing a technique for clothing that is washed often is covered in our guide on which technique to choose for frequently washed t-shirts; here is, garment by garment, what our pages say for a gym's outfit:
- On the technical t-shirt, our inspirations choose DTF transfer, which "stays supple on polyester, keeps crisp edges and holds up in the wash", and warn against "embroidery on thin technical fabric: it pulls the knit", as well as against "thick ink on a technical fabric: it closes the knit and breathes poorly". For a running club, the decorations suited to sports polyester are compared in our guide to custom running t-shirts.
- On the cotton tank top, screen printing takes "any flat textile" and shows "excellent wash resistance", according to its page; the same page says it makes sense from medium runs, because of the screen cost for each colour.
- On the hoodie, embroidery has "exceptional wash and wear resistance", according to its page, which calls it "ideal on polos, sweats, caps and jackets".
The Stancer and Stella Ava product pages give their care instruction: a wash with similar colours, the garment turned inside out for washing as for ironing, and never an iron on the print. That guide to frequently washed t-shirts also gives the washing steps, technique by technique, and says which instruction wins when the label and the decoration disagree, as with the Active T, whose page reads washable at 60 °C.
How much does custom clothing for a gym cost?
One condition holds for every price in this guide, unless stated otherwise: it covers one run of the same model, decorated with the same logo in the same place, at the public price on each page. On tknp.io, the Active T coach t-shirt with a DTF transfer A6 therefore comes to €7.80 excl. VAT each for 10 and €4.49 for 100, and the College Hoodie embroidered at 8 × 10 cm to €19.06 for 10 and €16.06 for 100: prices read on 26 October 2026, garment and decoration included, given for guidance only for the page's standard lead time and its most accessible colourway, shipping being added in the basket; the College Hoodie's page warns that its largest sizes cost a little more.
Three things move the price, the model, the decoration technique and the size of the run; here are the three models at four run sizes, in each of the three techniques their product pages sell online.
| Price excl. VAT per decorated garment | DTF, A6 size | Screen printing, one-colour logo | Embroidery, 8 × 10 cm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active T (B&C), run of 10 | €7.80 | €16.28 | not advised |

| Active T (B&C), run of 100 | €4.49 | €3.90 | not advised |
| Stanley Stancer (Stanley/Stella), run of 10 | €12.42 | €20.90 | €12.43 |
| Stanley Stancer (Stanley/Stella), run of 25 | €10.19 | €12.55 | €11.62 |

| College Hoodie (Just Hoods), run of 25 | €16.69 | €19.05 | €18.12 |
| College Hoodie (Just Hoods), run of 50 | €15.57 | €15.57 | €17.57 |
| College Hoodie (Just Hoods), run of 100 | €14.69 | €14.10 | €16.06 |
Prices excl. VAT per garment, garment and decoration included, taken on 26 October 2026 from each model's product page and given for guidance only: they assume the standard lead time, the most accessible colourway and a single position, without shipping. On the Stancer and College Hoodie pages, a note warns of an extra charge on a few colourways and on the very largest sizes: it appears as soon as you choose them. Embroidery is not advised on the Active T, a thin 140 g/m² technical t-shirt: our inspirations warn that it "pulls the knit" of thin technical fabric.
Example for a team of ten coaches: ten Active T with a DTF transfer A6 come to €78.00 excl. VAT and ten embroidered College Hoodies to €190.60 excl. VAT, i.e. €268.60 excl. VAT, or €26.86 per coach for a t-shirt and a hoodie, on the terms of the table.
How many must you order, and how long does it take to kit out the coaches?
Decorated garments are ordered on tknp.io from 10 of the same product reference, and our FAQ sets the lead time at "10 working days of customisation as standard", with two other choices: "5 express (+10%)", "20 economy (−5%)". According to the same FAQ, shipping then counts "1 to 2 working days" when the gym is in France, and "up to 7" for a gym located elsewhere in Europe; before paying, you read the estimated delivery date in the basket.
What this minimum covers, sizes and colourways included, our article on custom clothing for companies details it. To know when to order before a gym opening or the September restart, our guide to production lead times sets out the calendar.
How do you find the gym's logo when it only exists as a profile picture?
The logo library, kept in your tknp.io account, finds the gym's logo: type in its name, its website address, or even the link to an image, and it does the searching for you. If the only logo available is an Instagram avatar, upload the image and use "Remove background"; a file too small for a large print on the back can be reworked as our guide to vectorising an image explains.
The independent coach who has no logo yet gives the address of their website: the logo library offers several logo ideas, and the palette of each one can be changed before they decide. Each saved logo shows its colours and format, with a button to place it on a garment, the Active T, the Stancer or the College Hoodie. The account that holds this logo library is free.
Domande frequenti
How many t-shirts should you plan per coach?
Plan several t-shirts per coach, so they always have a clean one while the others are in the wash. On tknp.io, a decorated run starts at 10 of the same reference: for a team of four coaches, this first run gives two or three t-shirts each.
Which colour should you choose for the coaches' outfits?
Choose a one-colour logo and alternate the tones: a white t-shirt with a black logo for sessions, a black hoodie with a white logo for the front desk. A one-colour logo looks more polished than you might think, and the Active T, the Stancer and the College Hoodie all come in white and in black on their product pages.
Can you customise leggings for a yoga or Pilates class?
Yes: on tknp.io, women's leggings can be customised with DTF transfer, screen printing or embroidery, for example these two models. Build Your Brand's Ladies Stretch Jersey Leggings blend 95% cotton and 5% elastane, at 220 g/m², from XS to 5XL. Just Cool's Women's Cool Workout Legging combines 86% polyester and 14% elastane, at 280 g/m², from XS to XL.
Can you customise the gym's towels?
Yes: our custom towels and bathrobes page lists the gym among the places for this linen, alongside hotels and spas. The One Towelling's Sport Towel, 450 g/m², washable up to 60 °C according to its product page and fitted with an eyelet and a hook, can be embroidered online; on terry cloth, the same page names embroidery on the flat border band as the reference, since the thread anchors on a flat base.
