Choosing your custom tote bags

Canvas weight
A light canvas makes an event bag that carries paper. A heavy canvas, around 250 to 340 gsm, makes a shopping bag that takes bottles without deforming. Here, weight is a question of load, not comfort.

The handles
Long handles go over the shoulder; short ones in the hand. The critical point is their attachment: a handle stitched in a box-with-cross pattern carries load, one simply run in a straight line tears first. Check that stitch before any other detail.

The gusset
A flat tote stays flat and suits documents. A base and side gusset give it volume and let it stand up on its own, which completely changes how it works on a stand or in a shop.
Which marking technique for custom tote bags?
The tote is the easiest surface to mark in the whole catalogue: entirely flat, no centre seam, no stretch. One or two-colour screen printing on natural canvas is the outright classic, and unit cost collapses at volume. For photographic artwork, digital transfer does the job with no screen fees.
