Custom clothing production time: how long does it take?

Getting ready for a trade show, a tournament or a new season with a fixed date? Here is how long your custom clothing takes to make, what a shorter lead time costs and when to order to be delivered on time.

The day before a trade show, four colleagues open the boxes on their half-built stand and put on their custom TKNP hoodies, in navy and ecru.

Custom clothing production time: how long does it take?

In France, your custom clothing is ready to wear a little over two weeks after you order. At tknp.io, the standard production time is 10 working days, dispatch included; our catalogue pages count 11 to 12 working days to delivery in France, and your cart shows the estimated date.

Lead times at a glance:

  • At tknp.io, a custom garment takes 10 working days to make at the standard lead time, the 2 weeks of our product page price tables; rush orders leave in 5 working days, at 10% more according to our FAQ page.
  • On our product pages, the price follows the lead time you choose: 1 week costs 10% more than the base price, 4 weeks 5% less. Embroidered in one position (8 x 10 cm), 50 Stanley/Stella Cruiser 2.0 hoodies thus cost €1,775.00 excluding VAT at tknp.io on the standard lead time, €1,952.50 in 1 week and €1,686.25 in 4 weeks (for guidance only as of 21 October 2026, shipping extra, base colour, standard sizes).
  • Production and shipping included, at the standard lead time, tknp.io's catalogue pages count 11 to 12 working days for delivery in France, and up to 15 to 17 for the Nordic countries, Eastern Europe, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
  • With tknp.io's Store, a pre-order campaign stays open 7 to 21 days, and the clothes arrive roughly three weeks after it closes.

The trade show opens on a Thursday, the tournament is played on a Saturday, the club's new season will not move. For team or event merch, the date never shifts: the production time of your custom clothing has to fit around it. A hoodie delivered the day after the event stays in its box.

Here are our lead times, what a shorter or longer one costs, and how to count back from your date without paying for urgency.

How long does it take to make custom clothing?

At tknp.io, the standard production time for a custom garment is 10 working days: your order is customised and then shipped within that time, counted from the day you order. On our product pages, the same standard lead time is called "2 weeks": it is the one behind the base price in the table, and delivery comes on top, depending on the country.

Does the lead time depend on the decoration technique?

No: at tknp.io, you choose the production time of a custom textile for the order, not for the decoration technique. Take the Creator 2.0, a t-shirt by Stanley/Stella: on its product page, a single lead time choice covers the whole price table, at the standard lead time for every decoration you can order online, DTF transfer, screen printing and embroidery. On this model, DTG printing and patches go through a quote, which then takes precedence.

When does the production time start?

At tknp.io, the production time starts with the order, never before: production begins once the order is confirmed and paid, and our 10 working days run from there.

The proof (called BAT in French: the sign-off that fixes the artwork, its position and its size before production) weighs little in this schedule: with us, it arrives online almost instantly, with no email back-and-forth.

The time that really counts comes before the order: choosing the model, placing the logo, gathering everyone's size, steps described one by one in the guide to customising a t-shirt. That part depends on your organisation alone.

How much does a shorter or longer production time cost?

At tknp.io, you choose the production time on the product page, and it changes the price: 1 week carries a 10% surcharge, 2 weeks is the base price, 4 weeks gives a 5% discount. Our price table is set at the standard lead time, and the lead time you pick adjusts the price at the top of the page and in your cart.

An example: 50 Stanley/Stella Cruiser 2.0 hoodies, embroidered in a single position (8 x 10 cm embroidery). At the standard lead time, the Cruiser 2.0 product page shows €35.50 excluding VAT per hoodie, so €1,775.00 excluding VAT for the run.

Production time chosen on the product pageEffect on the price50 embroidered Cruiser 2.0 hoodies (8 x 10 cm)
1 week+10%€1,952.50 excl. VAT
2 weeks (standard lead time)base price€1,775.00 excl. VAT
4 weeks−5%€1,686.25 excl. VAT

Between one week and four weeks, the same run varies by €266.25 excluding VAT: planning two weeks ahead saves €88.75 excluding VAT, leaving it to the last minute costs €177.50 more. These prices are for guidance only, taken from our product page on 21 October 2026: excluding VAT, shipping extra, for one decoration position, in the cheapest base colour and in standard sizes; a non-base colour or a larger size costs a little more. The 1-week and 4-week amounts apply the percentage to the whole run; the amount shown on the product page and in your cart is the one that counts, and a quote takes precedence over displayed prices.

Can you get custom clothing in less than two weeks?

Yes, for delivery in France: each product page at tknp.io offers a one-week production time, at 10% more than the base price. Rush orders leave in 5 working days instead of 10, and our FAQ page gives the price while summing up the three lead times: 10 working days as standard, "5 express (+10%) or 20 economy (−5%)". These percentages match the product page table: 5 working days make one week, charged 10% more, and 20 working days make four weeks, at 5% less.

If your date fits none of these lead times, ask for a quote: our terms of sale provide for it when deadlines are tight, the quote then takes precedence, and a priced reply comes back within one business day.

How long does delivery take after production?

After production comes shipping: according to tknp.io's FAQ page, it adds 1 to 2 working days in France and up to 7 for the rest of Europe. Our production times themselves exclude shipping.

Our catalogue pages add production and shipping together, at the standard lead time:

Delivery countryTotal time at the standard lead time, production and shipping
France11 to 12 working days
Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany12 to 13 working days
Rest of Western and Southern European Union13 to 15 working days
Nordic countries, Eastern Europe, Switzerland, United Kingdom15 to 17 working days

We deliver to 32 European countries, to the address you give; outside Europe, shipping goes through a quote.

When should you order to be delivered before a trade show, a tournament or the new season?

For delivery in France at tknp.io's standard lead time, confirm your order no later than 12 working days before the delivery day you want: our catalogue pages count 11 to 12 working days from order to delivery, a little over two calendar weeks. The method for being delivered on time fits in one sentence: start from the date of the event and work back, your margin first, then shipping, then production.

The backward schedule, step by step:

  1. D-day: the opening of the trade show, the tournament, the start of the season or the school year.
  2. Receipt: a few days before D-day, time to open the boxes, check the sizes and hand everything out.
  3. Shipping: 1 to 2 working days in France, up to 7 elsewhere in Europe, according to our FAQ page.
  4. Production: 10 working days as standard; 4 weeks if you are ahead, for 5% less; 1 week if the date is close, for 10% more.
  5. The confirmed order: your real deadline to order. Before that come the choice of model, the logo and the sizes.

Each event then has its own habits. For a trade show, the stand's schedule, from the visitor gift to the team's outfit, has its own guide: trade show merch. For a tournament or a club's new season, the sports calendar is set early: a chance to take the 4-week lead time, the cheapest on the product page, or to go through a pre-order. For an end-of-year gift, the end-of-year gift schedule starts from the December hand-out.

What is the timeline of a Store pre-order, from opening to delivery?

On tknp.io's Store, a pre-order schedule adds up in two stages: the campaign, open for 7 to 21 days, then receipt, about three weeks after it closes. From opening the campaign to handing out the clothes, allow about four weeks for a one-week campaign and about six weeks for a three-week campaign.

The delivery date is shown before each member pays, and the terms of sale make it a commitment. For a new season or a tournament, open the campaign by counting these weeks back; how a pre-order runs, from reservations to each garment's threshold, is set out in the guide to collecting sizes. A Store opens with a verified pro account, that of an organisation verified by its French SIREN or EU VAT number: the sell on pre-order page then launches your first campaign.

How can you know the delivery date before paying?

At tknp.io, your cart shows the estimated delivery date before any payment: you check it before committing. Open the product page, choose the production time (1, 2 or 4 weeks), place your logo in the designer with the customise button, then put the run in your cart with your delivery country.

Customisation and shipping both count in that date, and the price follows the lead time you chose, at the top of the page and in the cart. The designer and the account are free, and you only pay when you order: comparing three lead times to find the one that meets your date costs nothing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do working days include Saturday and Sunday?

No: a working day is a weekday, Monday to Friday, and neither Saturday nor Sunday counts in the 10 working days of tknp.io's standard lead time. When a public holiday falls within the period, rely on the estimated delivery date in your cart.

Does the production time change for a large order?

Not on our product pages: at tknp.io, the price table runs from 10 to 1,000 units, all of it at the standard lead time of 2 weeks. Quantity lowers the unit price, not the lead time. For large quantities, a quote remains possible, and it then takes precedence over displayed prices.

Does a blank garment arrive faster than a decorated one?

Yes: on the Stanley/Stella product pages for the Creator 2.0 (t-shirt) and for the Cruiser 2.0 (hoodie), the blank garment alone, with no decoration, is available within 3 business days, against 10 working days of customisation at tknp.io for a decorated garment at the standard lead time; shipping comes on top in both cases. Blank garments are sold from one unit, enough to check a size before the run.

Can you have the order delivered straight to the event venue?

Yes: tknp.io delivers to the address given with the order, in 32 European countries, whether that is your office, the club or the event venue. On receipt, check the parcels and report any visible damage to the carrier, as our terms of sale ask.
