Custom T-shirts for a class or a school

Getting ready for the school fair, a trip or the end-of-year party? We explain who orders the class T-shirts, how to collect the children's sizes, what it costs and when to start.

On the morning of the school fair, in the primary school courtyard, a teacher in a washed blue custom TKNP t-shirt brings a box of custom kids' t-shirts while a parent volunteer hangs the bunting.

Custom T-shirts for a class or a school

A custom T-shirt with the school's name brings the class together at the school fair, on a trip or at the end-of-year party. At tknp.io, an order starts at 10 of the same model, with kids' sizes mixed, and at the standard lead time the decoration needs 10 working days, shipping on top.

For the school's order, in three points:

  • At tknp.io, the B&C #E150 /Kids and #E190 /Kids as well as the Stanley/Stella Mini Creator 2.0 go up to 12/13 years; only the last one also gives the child's height, from 98 to 158 cm.
  • For a class of 25 pupils, tknp.io charges €127.00 excluding VAT for the B&C #E150 /Kids with an A6 DTF transfer, and €186.00 excluding VAT with one-colour screen printing.
  • To get families to pay, the parents' association can run a pre-sale campaign on its tknp.io Store, reserved for verified organisations: each family pays for their child's T-shirt there.

These amounts excluding VAT, for guidance only, come from the kids' price tables shown by tknp.io on 23 October 2026: T-shirt and one decoration position included (a design in A6 format for the DTF transfer; for screen printing, a one-colour logo whose size the price table does not state), in standard children's sizes and each model's base colour, at the standard lead time, with shipping charged on top.

The primary school fair is coming up, the end-of-year trip is booked, and the team would love the pupils to live it in the same custom T-shirt, with the school's name on it: sometimes its very first merch. The order then lands on a teacher or on the parents' association committee; here is what you need to place it calmly, with today's prices.

Who orders custom T-shirts for a class or a school?

Custom T-shirts for a class or a school can be ordered by the teacher, by the parents' association or by the head of school.

  • The teacher and the school cooperative. In France, the school cooperative (coopérative scolaire) affiliated to the French Office for Cooperation at School (OCCE) "is run by teachers together with the pupils", as the OCCE puts it, and its resources come notably from "the voluntary contribution of families", grants and donations. When the class gives each pupil a T-shirt, the teacher collects the sizes and places a single order.
  • The parents' association (APE in France). It can give the fair T-shirt to every child, or sell it to families; in that second case, the pre-sale described below means it does not have to advance the money.
  • The head of school. For a T-shirt shared by the whole school, the head can bring every class together in a single order. Our School & campus page brings together the essentials we offer schools.

To order, a free pro account on tknp.io is enough: it brings your quotes and orders together "for the whole team".

How many custom T-shirts does a class need at minimum?

At tknp.io, a class orders at least 10 of the same model once it is decorated, whatever the technique, and that order of 10 can mix sizes and colours: a whole class goes past that threshold, even with children from 3/4 to 12/13 years. A blank T-shirt, with no decoration, can be ordered from one.

Which sizes should you order for a class?

For a class, T-shirts are ordered in kids' sizes given by age, not S, M or L: on the tknp.io #E150 /Kids, #E190 /Kids and Mini Creator 2.0, they go up to 12/13 years.

Sizes, fabric weights and number of colours as shown on 23 October 2026 by our tknp.io product pages.

The pages of the two B&C T-shirts, unisex with a tubular cut, only give the age; the Mini Creator 2.0 page, in spun and combed organic cotton jersey, adds the height for each size, from 98 to 104 cm for 3-4 years up to 152 to 158 cm for 12-13 years.

How do you collect the sizes of a whole class?

To collect a class's sizes, ask families for their child's height in centimetres rather than their age, as our page on custom kids' clothing advises; with the Mini Creator 2.0, that measurement points straight to the right column.

A note in the home-school notebook is enough: the pupil's name, their height in centimetres, the chosen size. Check the list again before confirming, because a decorated T-shirt cannot be returned: our terms of sale exclude any exchange of a personalised item, except for a defect.

Unsure about a size? Order one blank T-shirt first to try it on: €2.15 excluding VAT for the #E150 /Kids (€2.58 including VAT) and €2.74 excluding VAT for the #E190 /Kids (€3.29 including VAT), according to their tknp.io pages on 23 October 2026 (prices excluding and including VAT from those pages, for guidance only, for the base colour in standard children's sizes, at the standard lead time, with shipping charged on top). The Mini Creator 2.0 page does not offer this single blank purchase.

How much do T-shirts for a class cost?

For a class of 25 pupils, T-shirts in the #E150 /Kids come to €127.00 excluding VAT at tknp.io with an A6 DTF transfer (25 × €5.08) and €186.00 excluding VAT with one-colour screen printing (25 × €7.44), T-shirts and decoration included (#E150 /Kids price table taken on 23 October 2026, for guidance only, one position, screen-printed logo with no size stated in the price table, base colour, standard children's sizes, at the standard lead time, with shipping billed on top). Across models, techniques and quantities, a class T-shirt costs, decorated, between €3.24 and €19.12 excluding VAT on the tknp.io pages of the #E150 /Kids, the #E190 /Kids and the Mini Creator 2.0:

Mini Creator 2.0, one-colour screen print€19.12€10.84€7.62€6.40

Prices per T-shirt excluding VAT taken on 23 October 2026 from these three tknp.io product pages, for guidance only: decoration in a single position, A6 DTF transfer or one-colour screen-printed logo (the price table does not state its size), in the model's base colour, in standard children's sizes, at the standard lead time, with shipping charged on top. Some colours cost a little more: the surcharge shows when you select them.

A school that gives each class its own colour, on the same model and with the same decoration, has all its classes count towards a single price break, following the rule explained in our article on how price breaks work on a T-shirt: four classes of 25 in the #E150 /Kids screen printed in one colour thus make 100 T-shirts for €324.00 excluding VAT (product page taken on 23 October 2026 and quoted for guidance only; standard children's sizes, at the standard lead time, shipping and the surcharge on some colours on top).

Children's drawing or school logo: which decoration to choose?

To print a children's drawing in several colours, choose a DTF transfer, which reproduces every colour; for the school's name or logo in a single colour, screen printing, with the densest ink. On price, on the tknp.io #E150 /Kids, #E190 /Kids and Mini Creator 2.0, the DTF transfer is cheaper at 10 and 25, both techniques are level at 50, and screen printing comes in lower at 100.

Have the children draw with felt-tip pens on a white sheet, then scan it to place the drawing on the T-shirt in the designer.

Keep the design under 20 cm: beyond that, it spills towards the shoulders of a kids' T-shirt, warns our school fair T-shirt inspiration, which sets the school's name in rounded letters 18 to 20 cm wide on the #E150 /Kids.

Every T-shirt in the same run carries the same decoration: tknp.io does not offer a different first name from one child to the next. The school's name, the class name, the year or the class drawing, on the other hand, make a very good shared design.

What about embroidery? We advise against it on the #E150 /Kids (145 g/m²) and the Mini Creator 2.0 (155 g/m²), too thin for an embroidered logo, even though their pages list it. The #E190 /Kids, at 185 g/m², takes it: €7.08 excluding VAT per T-shirt for 25, with an 8 × 10 cm embroidered logo included (price excluding VAT of the T-shirt embroidered in one position, taken on 23 October 2026 from its tknp.io page and given for guidance only, for the base colour in standard children's sizes, at the standard lead time, and shipping is charged on top). Our kids' clothing page nevertheless keeps embroidery for garments worn over other clothes, such as a sweatshirt, rather than a T-shirt worn against the skin.

When should you order T-shirts for a school trip, a school fair or an end-of-year party?

To be delivered before the event, place a direct order for the T-shirts of a school fair or a school trip at least three weeks before the date; with a pre-sale, first add the length of the campaign, 7 to 21 days. At tknp.io, our frequently asked questions page counts 10 working days of personalisation at the standard lead time; transport to France adds 1 to 2 working days, and your basket shows the estimated delivery date before you pay.

For a direct order, add to those three weeks the time it takes to gather the sizes, beforehand, and a few days to hand the T-shirts out, afterwards. For a pre-sale, delivery follows the end of the campaign by about three weeks: open it four weeks before the event for a 7-day campaign, six weeks before for a 21-day campaign, and keep a few days for handing them out. The full countdown is set out in our article on custom clothing production time.

Getting families to pay: the tknp.io Store pre-sale

For each family to pay for their child's T-shirt and for the association to cover its costs, the parents' association can launch a pre-sale: the tknp.io Store, reserved for verified organisations, takes it on if the association has a French company registration (SIREN) number or an EU VAT number and has it verified. During the campaign, each family reserves and pays online for their child's size; at closing, if the T-shirt reaches its threshold, the run is made at the price that fits the volume reached and the difference goes into the APE's kitty, with no advance and no stock, and opening the Store and publishing the campaign are free. The full process, threshold, refunds and non-exchangeable sizes included, is in our guide to collecting sizes. What a clothing sale brings in for a school is worked out in our guide to raising money with a T-shirt sale.

The school logo or the class drawing, stored in the Logo library

A school does not always have a logo, or not in a file that prints well. Open the Logo library (Logothèque) in your tknp.io account, then type the school's name or its website address: the Logo library looks for its logo, or suggests several, each with a colour palette to adjust. The class drawing belongs there too: upload the scan, remove the background, and it sits next to the school logo, with its colours, its format and the button that applies it to the kids' T-shirt. The account is free.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can teachers and accompanying parents wear the same T-shirt?

Yes, with the same design on an adult T-shirt, but on another model, which has its own minimum: at tknp.io, 10 decorated T-shirts per model. The B&C #E150, for example, comes in a kids' version (#E150 /Kids) and an adult version (#E150 Men), on two separate product pages. Fewer than 10 adults? Group them with those from other classes or with the fair volunteers.

How much do custom T-shirts for a whole school cost?

For 200 pupils in the #E150 /Kids screen printed in one colour, allow €648.00 excluding VAT at tknp.io: from 100 to 249, each T-shirt is charged at the 100 price break, i.e. €3.24 excluding VAT. This total assumes one model and one decoration for the whole school; it is taken from the price table the tknp.io product page showed on 23 October 2026, for guidance only, for one decoration position (a one-colour logo, size not stated in the price table), in the base colour and standard children's sizes, at the standard lead time, with shipping still on top.

Is there an organic cotton kids' T-shirt for school?

Yes: at tknp.io, the Stanley/Stella Mini Creator 2.0 is made of 100% spun and combed organic cotton, and its product page carries the GOTS and OEKO-TEX mentions, which apply to the blank T-shirt as the manufacturer presents it. It costs €7.62 excluding VAT for 50, with an A6 DTF transfer or one-colour screen printing alike (price excluding VAT taken on 23 October 2026 from its tknp.io page, for guidance only, for the Mini Creator 2.0 decorated in one position, with an A6 transfer design or a one-colour screen-printed logo of unstated size, in the base colour, in standard children's sizes, at the standard lead time; shipping stays on top of this price).
