Choosing your custom towels

Weight
Around 400 gsm, a towel is light, dries fast and suits sport and swimming. Above 500 gsm it turns dense and plush, in hotel and spa territory, but takes far longer to dry. The two uses do not call for the same product.

Combed cotton
Long-staple combed cotton produces even loops that do not pull out. That is what prevents snagged threads after a few months and lint in the machine on the first washes. On this product, fibre quality shows quickly.

The border band
Most towels carry, a few centimetres from the edge, a woven band with no loops — a velour or flat weave. It is the only flat, stable area on the whole item, and it was put there for exactly that reason.
