Practical guide

Prepare your logo for print or embroidery.

A well-prepared logo means a proof approved first time and no redrawing fees. This guide says what our workshop expects, technique by technique, with our real decoration formats and pricing rules — not generalities.

The file: what we accept, what works

Vector — the ideal

SVG or vector PDF (from Illustrator, Affinity, Figma, Inkscape): the outline stays sharp at any size, colours separate for screen printing, embroidery digitises cleanly. Text outlined, no missing fonts.

PNG or JPEG — accepted

PNG with a transparent background, in high resolution: at least 2,000 pixels wide for an A4 decoration, 1,000 for a chest mark. JPEG works for a photo artwork; it cannot carry transparency. The studio measures resolution on import and warns you.

To avoid

A screenshot, a logo copied from a website, a Word or PowerPoint file, anything under 500 pixels: the result will be blurry or need redrawing. Redrawing is quoted separately.

The quote form accepts PNG, JPEG, SVG and PDF up to 8 MB; the studio accepts PNG, SVG, JPEG and WebP up to 10 MB. A native file (.ai, .eps) goes with the quote as a PDF.

By technique: what the logo has to be

The formats listed are those of our price grids — what the workshop actually makes.

Screen printingfrom 50 pieces

A vector file in solid flat colours (no gradient, no photo): each colour is one screen. Count your logo's colours, excluding the garment colour. Lines at least 0.5 mm, text readable from 5 mm high.

Real formats: 1 to 6 colours

Pricing rule: by number of colours and by quantity: one more colour, one more screen; quantity lowers the price per piece.

DTF transferfrom 10 pieces

A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background, or a vector: full colour, gradients and photos work, on light and dark garments. The file is printed as is: what is blurry on screen will be blurry on the garment.

Real formats: A6 · A5 · A4 · A3

Pricing rule: by format (A6 to A3), whatever the number of colours.

DTG printingfrom 10 pieces

Like DTF: high-resolution PNG or vector, any colours. On dark garments a white underbase is printed — the price differs between light and dark. DTG prefers cotton.

Real formats: A6 · A5 · A4 · A3 · light or dark garment

Pricing rule: by format and by ground (light or dark garment), whatever the number of colours.

Embroideryfrom 10 pieces

A simple logo in solid shapes: no gradient, no photo, lines at least 1.5 mm, text at least 6 mm high. The workshop digitises the file into stitches; the price follows the embroidered area, not the number of colours. A vector makes digitising easier.

Real formats: 8 × 10 cm · 15 × 15 cm · 20 × 20 cm · 25 × 20 cm

Pricing rule: by embroidered area (8 × 10 to 25 × 20 cm), whatever the number of colours.

Five checks before sending

  1. 01The background is transparent (PNG) or absent (vector) — no white rectangle around the logo.
  2. 02The logo is at the right size, in millimetres: a chest mark is 60 to 80 mm wide, a back 200 to 280 mm. The studio shows the real size on the garment.
  3. 03Colours are named (Pantone or hex) if they must be exact; screen printing and embroidery reproduce them to the thread and the ink.
  4. 04Text is outlined or the font is attached; text under 5 mm high (printed) or 6 mm (embroidered) is not readable.
  5. 05One version per position: one logo for the chest, another for the back if the artwork differs — the quote prices each position.

What happens next

The studio

You place the logo on the garment, choose the position and the size; the studio measures resolution, shows the proof and computes the price per tier. Nothing is made without your proof approval.

The workshop

It prepares the file for the chosen technique (colour separation, embroidery digitising) and sends a proof before production. A logo that needs redrawing or vectorising is quoted separately, before starting.

Send your logo, we tell you what works

Attach the file to the quote: within 24 working hours you get the decoration proof and the price per quantity — or what needs fixing.

Frequently asked questions

Which file format should I send for a logo to print?
A vector (SVG, PDF) ideally; otherwise a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background. The quote accepts PNG, JPEG, SVG and PDF up to 8 MB.
My logo is a JPEG, does it work?
For DTF or DTG, yes if it is high resolution; it will have no transparency. For screen printing and embroidery the workshop vectorises or digitises it — redrawing may be quoted separately.
How many colours can my logo have?
In screen printing every colour counts (up to 6 in our grids) and costs a screen. In DTF, DTG and embroidery the number of colours does not change the price.
What logo size should I choose?
Chest: 60 to 80 mm wide. Back: 200 to 280 mm. Sleeve: 60 to 80 mm. Our formats run from A6 to A3 in print and from 8 × 10 to 25 × 20 cm in embroidery.
Can a gradient or a photo be embroidered?
No: embroidery works in solid shapes and solid-colour threads. A gradient or a photo goes to DTF transfer or DTG.
Is the proof free?
Yes: the decoration proof is sent before any production and is part of the quote. Only a full redraw of the logo is quoted separately.
