Company polo shirts: how do you choose the right one?
A good company polo shirt is one your team wants to put back on: a cotton piqué knit, a polo shirt made in a men's and a women's fit, and the company logo embroidered on the chest. On tknp.io, embroidery can be ordered from 10 polo shirts per reference.
What to look for on a polo shirt's product page:
- The knit: our polo shirts page recommends piqué, with its waffle-like surface, which hides creases and ages well when worn often; on tknp.io, 14 of the 20 polo shirts in its selection are described as piqué knits.
- The fabric weight: on tknp.io, 18 of the 20 polo shirts in that same selection weigh from 180 to 240 g/m², from the 180 g/m² of the B&C Polo Id.001 Men up to the 240 g/m² of the Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0.
- The fit: the B&C Inspire Polo comes in a men's and a women's fit, two references with a product page each; the Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0 is unisex, from XXS to 5XL.
- The minimum: on tknp.io, the embroidered batch starts at 10 polo shirts per reference, all sizes combined.
For teams in contact with customers, such as front desk, sales staff or technicians on the road, the company polo shirt is the uniform garment our custom polo shirts page recommends. It lists 199 of them, from 31 brands: plenty of room to hesitate between two polo shirts that look alike in the photo.
This guide reads, for you, the product pages of the 20 polo shirts in that page's selection, checked on 26 October 2026, and keeps what matters to dress a team: the knit, the fabric weight, the fit, the sleeves, the material, where the embroidery goes, then the price of a small batch.
Which company polo shirt should your team wear?
To dress a company team, choose a cotton piqué polo shirt, in the 180 to 240 g/m² range where 18 of the 20 polo shirts in our selection sit, made in a men's and a women's fit or unisex, and have the logo embroidered on the chest. As a price benchmark, take B&C's Inspire Polo, made in a men's and a women's fit: on tknp.io, a batch of 10 Inspire Polo/Men custom polo shirts, embroidered with the same logo on the chest, comes to €11.56 excluding VAT each, polo shirt included: public price of 26 October 2026, without the discount of a verified account, for guidance only, for the polo shirt's base colour and its standard sizes, at the standard lead time, delivery charged separately.
The seven models below, all embroidered online and also printable with DTF transfer or screen printing, range from the most affordable to a 240 g/m² organic cotton piqué:

Weight, sizes, fit and description read on each product page; composition read on each model's thumbnail, on 26 October 2026.
Once embroidered on the chest, the Polo Id.001 Men is the cheapest of the seven at 10 as at 25 units, according to the prices detailed below; the Prepster 2.0 is the heaviest, at 240 g/m²; the unisex Skill Pro Polo has a chest pocket "suited to heart-position printing", according to its page. The Prepster 2.0 is also one of the essentials in our Company selection, alongside t-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets.
How much does an embroidered company polo shirt cost, for 10 or 25 people?
One rule applies to every price in this guide, unless the sentence says otherwise: each one is for a single batch, meaning one polo shirt reference carrying the same embroidered logo at the same spot, on the chest, and these are our public prices, without the discount of a verified account.
For 10 polo shirts embroidered on the chest, expect on tknp.io from €10.03 excluding VAT each with the B&C Polo Id.001 Men to €22.90 excluding VAT with the Skill Pro Polo, polo shirt included, and for 25, from €9.37 to €21.84 excluding VAT: prices of 26 October 2026, for guidance only, for the polo shirt's base colour and its standard sizes, at the standard lead time, delivery charged separately. The price of an embroidered polo shirt depends first on the model; here is the detail for the seven, with the batch total:
| Polo shirt embroidered on the chest | 10 units | Total for 10 | 25 units | Total for 25 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Polo Id.001 Men, B&C | €10.03 | €100.30 | €9.37 | €234.25 |
| Inspire Polo/Men or Inspire Polo/Women, B&C | €11.56 | €115.60 | €10.85 | €271.25 |
| My Polo 180, B&C | €12.13 | €121.30 | €11.41 | €285.25 |
| My Polo 210, B&C | €14.48 | €144.80 | €13.68 | €342.00 |
| Stanley Coaster, Stanley/Stella | €16.99 | €169.90 | €15.97 | €399.25 |
| Prepster 2.0, Stanley/Stella | €22.04 | €220.40 | €20.81 | €520.25 |
| Skill Pro Polo, B&C | €22.90 | €229.00 | €21.84 | €546.00 |
Price per polo shirt and batch total excluding VAT, polo shirt and embroidery included, in one position (the one each English product page calls "Embroidery 8 × 10 cm"), read on tknp.io on 26 October 2026, for guidance only, for the polo shirt's base colour and its standard sizes, at the standard lead time, delivery charged separately. The totals apply to 10 or 25 polo shirts from the same product page. On seven of the eight product pages behind these polo shirts (the Inspire Polo has two, one per fit), a note flags an extra charge on some colours and on the biggest sizes, shown when you select them.
The Inspire Polo/Men and the Inspire Polo/Women are two separate references, each with its own product page and price grid.
What is the minimum order for embroidered polo shirts in small quantities?
On tknp.io, embroidery on a polo shirt is ordered online from 10 units per reference, sizes mixed; blank, with no logo, the B&C polo shirts in the selection can be added to the basket from a single unit, to hold the polo shirt before the batch. What counts towards a price tier and the minimum for the rest of the team's merch are explained in our guide to custom company clothing.
When do embroidered polo shirts arrive?
For embroidered polo shirts, customisation needs 10 working days with the standard lead time option; for delivery in France, our FAQ then states that shipping "adds 1 to 2 working days". For a tighter or looser schedule, see the production lead times of custom garments.
Piqué or jersey: which knit for a company polo shirt?
For a company polo shirt worn all week, choose a piqué knit. Our polo shirts page puts it this way: piqué, with its waffle-like surface, is the polo shirt's original fabric, it hides creases and ages well under heavy use; jersey, smoother and softer, drapes better but creases more, and is better kept for occasional use, such as an event.
Piqué dominates the selection: the description of 14 of the 20 polo shirts read on 26 October 2026 mentions a piqué knit, from the "fine, high-density piqué knit" of the B&C My Polo 180 to the "organic cotton piqué" of the Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0.
Collar and placket: the finishes to check
On a company polo shirt's page, also look at the collar and the button placket. Our polo shirts page gives two markers: a knitted collar, not simply cut from the fabric, keeps its shape after dozens of washes, and the button placket should be reinforced, the sleeves finished in ribbing. The B&C Polo Id.001 Men lists a "1x1 rib knit collar" and a "reinforced placket with 2 tone-on-tone buttons"; the Prepster 2.0, a "flat-knit rib collar and cuffs".
Which fabric weight for a company polo shirt?
A polo shirt's fabric weight is what one square metre of its fabric weighs, shown in g/m² on the product page; our guide to reading a textile spec sheet explains that line and the next ones. For an embroidered polo shirt, our embroidered polo shirts page states that cotton piqué from 180 to 220 g/m² holds the stitches without warping.
In the selection on our polo shirts page, 18 of the 20 models show between 180 and 240 g/m²: 180 g/m² for the B&C Polo Id.001 Men, Inspire Polo and My Polo 180, 210 g/m² for the B&C My Polo 210 and the Pen Duick Spirit Men, 230 g/m² for the Skill Pro Polo, 240 g/m² for the Prepster 2.0.
Between two piqué polo shirts from the same maker, the price gap shows on the product pages: embroidered on the chest, the B&C My Polo 210 costs €2.35 excluding VAT more than the My Polo 180 for 10 units (€14.48 versus €12.13), and €2.27 more for 25 (€13.68 versus €11.41), according to tknp.io public prices of 26 October 2026, polo shirt and embroidery included, for guidance only, for the polo shirt's base colour and its standard sizes, at the standard lead time, delivery charged separately.
Men's, women's or unisex fit: how do you dress the whole team?
For a mixed team, choose a polo shirt made in a men's and a women's fit, or a unisex one: as our polo shirts page notes, a polo shirt offered in both fits keeps the outfit consistent from one colleague to the next. The B&C Inspire Polo thus comes as two references, each with its own product page: the Inspire Polo/Men, from S to 3XL, and the Inspire Polo/Women, in a women's fit, from XS to XXL, each in 20 colours, including navy, listed as Navy Blue. The women's version page describes a "modern feminine cut", shown at the same price as the men's fit for the same quantity, a point our waiter uniform guide develops for dining room teams.
The Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0 is unisex, in a "Medium Fit", from XXS to 5XL, and the B&C Skill Pro Polo is unisex too, from S to 4XL.
For a closer silhouette, the Stanley Coaster page states a "Fitted" cut, and two polo shirts in the selection contain 5% elastane, according to their thumbnail: the Russell Men's Fitted Stretch Polo and the Tee Jays Luxury Stretch Polo. What that fibre changes for printing and washing is detailed in our article on elastane. The Stanley Coaster is also dyed after making, or garment-dyed: its page warns of slight colour differences between units, a point to weigh for a team outfit.
Short-sleeved or long-sleeved polo shirt?
On our polo shirts page, the rule is simple: the short-sleeved polo shirt covers most of the year, and the long-sleeved version dresses the winter without changing the outfit. In the selection, the B&C My Polo 210 and the Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0 come in both versions, each with its own product page. At B&C, the long version is called the My Polo 210 Lsl; at Stanley/Stella, the Prepster 2.0 Long Sleeve.
Embroidered on the chest, the long-sleeved My Polo 210 costs €2.40 excluding VAT more than the short version for 10 units (€16.88 versus €14.48), and the long-sleeved Prepster 2.0 €2.61 more (€24.65 versus €22.04): tknp.io public prices read on 26 October 2026, polo shirt and embroidery included, for guidance only, for the polo shirt's base colour and its standard sizes, at the standard lead time, delivery charged separately.
Also check the sizes and colours of each version: the long-sleeved Prepster 2.0 runs from XXS to 3XL in 11 colours, the short version from XXS to 5XL in 28 colours; the My Polo 210 has 15 colours with long sleeves and 30 with short sleeves.
Cotton, organic cotton or recycled polyester: which material for a polo shirt?
Cotton, organic cotton or a blend with recycled polyester: all three are found on polo shirts whose product pages intend them for work. According to its page, the Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0, in organic cotton, is "suited to both corporate wardrobes and everyday wear", and the B&C My Eco Polo 65/35, in recycled polyester and cotton, has a look "suited to everyday professional use".
Cotton remains the most frequent material in our selection: on tknp.io, 10 of the 20 polo shirts on the polo shirts page show 100% cotton on their thumbnail. The Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0 and Stanley Coaster have a product page giving their composition as 100% organic cotton, spun and combed, and also carrying the GOTS and OEKO-TEX mentions: those mentions describe the polo shirt as its maker presents it, not the logo embroidered on it.
On the blend side, the My Eco Polo 65/35 combines 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton, in a "breathable piqué knit fabric", and the B&C Active Polo is made of recycled polyester, in a 140 g/m² perforated knit.
Where should the logo be embroidered on a company polo shirt, and with which technique?
Embroider the company logo on the chest: it is the classic spot on a uniform polo shirt. Our embroidered polo shirts page gives 60 x 40 mm as the standard size on the chest, and recommends the back or the sleeve beyond 80 mm wide; our guide to placing your logo points out that no marking goes in the centre of a polo shirt, because of its placket, and names its other possible positions: sleeves, nape, upper back. On a dark polo shirt, such as navy blue, plan a light version of the logo: a dark logo disappears on it.
On the 20 product pages of the selection, three techniques can be bought straight online, embroidery, DTF transfer and screen printing, while DTG printing and patches need a quote. For a small batch, here is what the Inspire Polo/Men page shows, polo shirt included: at 10 units, embroidery (an 8 x 10 cm area, on the chest) comes to €11.56 excluding VAT, A6 DTF transfer to €11.55 and one-colour screen printing to €20.03; at 25 units, €10.85, €9.42 and €11.78 in the same order. These are that page's public prices, read on tknp.io on 26 October 2026, polo shirt included, for guidance only, for the polo shirt's base colour and its standard sizes, at the standard lead time, delivery charged separately.
Check the same logo on the men's and the women's fit
To dress a mixed team in Inspire Polo, you order from two product pages, one per fit. On tknp.io, the Customise online button of each one opens the designer on that fit: place the same logo on the chest, at the same size, first on the Inspire Polo/Men, then on the Inspire Polo/Women, and check that both fits carry the logo the same way before you order. The preview displays where the logo sits and its real size. These trials come at no cost, since the account and the designer are free: you only pay when you order the batch, from 10 units per reference.
Frequently asked questions
Which company polo shirt can be washed at 60 °C?
Among the 20 polo shirts in the selection on our polo shirts page, four tknp.io product pages state a 60 °C wash: the B&C Skill Pro Polo and Active Polo, the Pen Duick Spirit Men and the Tee Jays Heavy Polo. For the others, follow the care instructions on the product page or the label: the Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0 page asks you to wash and iron the polo shirt inside out.
Polo shirt or t-shirt: which one for a customer-facing team?
The polo shirt, for a team that welcomes or meets customers: our polo shirts page presents it as the garment of the front desk and the field, more professional in tone than the t-shirt, which stays casual. The heavyweight t-shirt and the hoodie are more for welcoming newcomers and for team events; five t-shirts for the team are compared in our article on the custom company t-shirt.
Can short-sleeved and long-sleeved polo shirts be mixed in one order?
Yes, but each version counts separately: on tknp.io, the B&C My Polo 210 and My Polo 210 Lsl, like the Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0 and Prepster 2.0 Long Sleeve, each have their own product page and price grid. The minimum of 10 decorated units applies to each reference.
Can you embroider only the company name on a polo shirt?
Yes: our inspiration of a fine name embroidered on the chest shows a company name in serif capitals, on two lines, embroidered on 70 x 40 mm on a Stanley/Stella Prepster 2.0. It recommends 6 to 8 cm wide, on the chest, and avoiding names longer than 20 characters on one line, which become unreadable at that size.
