Choosing your custom hi-vis workwear

The class

Class 1 away from traffic, class 2 for urban roads, class 3 for highways. The class is printed on the label and depends on surface area: it, not your brand guide, sets the maximum size of the marking.

The tape

Never mark over retroreflective tape: heat dulls it, and the reflective area lost counts against the class. The logo goes between the bands, or on the chest above the first one.

Washing

Site clothing is washed hot and often. The standard sets a cycle count past which the fluorescent is no longer compliant; a marking must last at least as long, or the garment is downgraded by its logo before its fabric.

Which marking technique for custom hi-vis workwear?

Screen transfer and DTF transfer are the two safe routes: they survive industrial washing and sit small between the bands. Embroidery pierces the membrane on waterproof models and breaks their seal — keep it for unmembraned pieces. If you are unsure of the class after marking, ask for a quote: compliance is checked on the garment, not in a catalogue.
