The dropped shoulder
The shoulder seam no longer sits on the joint but a few centimetres down the arm. That is the cut's signature, and also a production constraint: the flat area available to a print platen drops accordingly.

Weight carries the cut
A light jersey cut wide collapses and reads as crumpled. Oversized demands a thick, compact jersey able to hold structure: this is the tee sub-category where weight is not a comfort criterion but a condition for the silhouette to exist at all.

A wide cut absorbs differences in build: across a team run, the useful range often narrows to three sizes instead of six. Check flat measurements rather than letters, which mean nothing from one cut to another.

Oversized is the canvas for large artwork: A3 backs and full-chest prints finally get the room a classic cut denies them. Take care not to run onto the dropped shoulder seam, which is no longer in the usual place — the file must be set to the cut, not to a standard template.
