Custom drawstring pouch: size, fabric and print to package your products

The cotton pouch with your logo, the packaging your customers keep: which size for which product, which fabric, embroidery or print, and what a run of 10 to 100 costs.

Under a blue sky, a woman holds out two custom drawstring pouches in ecru cotton, closed by a cord and marked with the TKNP logo in black; a piece of black lace peeks out of one of them.

Custom drawstring pouch: size, fabric and print to package your products

A custom drawstring pouch is a small cotton bag closed by a cord, printed or embroidered with your brand's logo, in which you deliver jewellery, lingerie, a bar of soap or a pair of shoes.

At tknp.io, the pouch is embroidered, screen printed or printed from 10 units: our reference pouch, the Cotton Stuff Bag, comes to €4.49 excluding VAT per unit for 50 units embroidered with your logo (8 × 10 cm, one placement, base colour, shipping excluded, for guidance only, price taken on 20 October 2026).

The pouch is the packaging nobody throws away. One customer keeps her underwear in it for a weekend away, another slips in his cables, a third uses it for gym shoes: your logo travels with them long after the parcel is opened. Here is how to choose the size, the fabric and the branding, and what a run costs.

What is a drawstring pouch?

A drawstring pouch is a soft fabric bag closed at the top by a cord you pull tight; it is also called a cotton pouch, a stuff bag or, in French, a "pochon". It protects a product without squashing it, and slides flat into a shipping box.

For a brand, it replaces tissue paper and the cardboard box: it is textile, reusable packaging that carries the logo. On tknp.io, the reference model is Westford Mill's Cotton Stuff Bag, a 140 g/m² cotton pouch available in six sizes, from XXS to XL.

Why deliver your products in a pouch with your logo?

Because a pouch gets a second life once the parcel is open: it becomes your customer's travel, storage or gym pouch, and your brand stays in sight. The need already exists among shoppers: every month, more than a hundred searches in French look for a "pochette sous-vêtement" or a "pochette lingerie" (an underwear or lingerie pouch).

Four product families benefit most:

  • Lingerie and underwear: delivered in an embroidered pouch, they arrive protected, and the customer keeps the pouch for her trips.
  • Jewellery and small accessories: a small pouch replaces the box, and weighs less.
  • Cosmetics, soaps and skincare: the pouch protects the bottle in the box, then ends up in the bathroom.
  • Shoes: a large pouch keeps them clean in the parcel, then in the gym bag.

The same pouch also works as merch for a club or a festival, as a shoe bag or a welcome pouch.

Which pouch size should you choose?

A pouch's size is chosen from the product: XXS or XS for jewellery, S or M for lingerie and cosmetics, L or XL for shoes, with a little room so the cord pulls tight without strain. The Cotton Stuff Bag ranges from XXS, holding a quarter of a litre, to XL, which holds 38 litres, according to a Westford Mill reseller.

On the two smallest sizes, embroidery is limited: a Westford Mill reseller explains it by the size of the embroidery frames, and recommends printing for XXS and XS.

Light cotton, heavy cotton or zipped pouch?

The fabric sets the tone of the packaging: a light cotton for a soft, affordable pouch, a heavier cotton for a more premium feel, a zipped canvas when the contents must stay firmly closed.

  • The Cotton Stuff Bag (140 g/m²): the classic cotton pouch, from XXS to XL.
  • The Premium Cotton Stuff Bag (200 g/m²): the same shape in a heavier cotton, from XS to XL, for 15 to 17 cents more per unit excluding VAT than the Cotton Stuff Bag, with the same branding and quantity, from 10 to 100 units.
  • The Revive Recycled Stuff Bag (270 g/m²): a blend of recycled cotton and recycled polyester, in sizes M and XL.
  • The Earthaware Organic Accessory Pouch (407 g/m²): a certified organic cotton canvas pouch closed by a zip, in S, M and L.

They all sit in our custom bags range, next to tote bags and gymsacs.

Embroidery, screen printing or DTF: which branding for a pouch?

Embroidery gives the pouch the look of brand packaging, single-colour screen printing becomes the cheapest in a run, and DTF transfer handles multi-colour logos and the very small sizes. Our Cotton Stuff Bag prices, for one placement in the base colour, taken on 20 October 2026 and given for guidance only, show it. At 10 units, embroidery and DTF cost almost the same: €5.09 excluding VAT per unit with an 8 × 10 cm embroidery, €5.08 excluding VAT with an A6-size DTF transfer. At 50, DTF and single-colour screen printing both drop to €2.69 excluding VAT, while embroidery only comes down to €4.49 excluding VAT. At 100, screen printing takes the lead, at €1.74 excluding VAT against €2.27 excluding VAT for DTF, as our comparison of screen printing and transfers explains for t-shirts.

Embroidery goes on an 8 × 10 cm area, enough for a logo or a monogram on a size S pouch and up. A fine multi-colour logo, or an XXS pouch for jewellery, is better printed.

How much does a custom drawstring pouch cost?

With an 8 × 10 cm embroidery of your logo, our reference cotton pouch, the Cotton Stuff Bag, costs €5.09 excluding VAT per unit at 10 units and €3.51 excluding VAT at 100 (for guidance only, based on our product pages of 20 October 2026); in single-colour screen printing, it drops to €1.74 excluding VAT at 100 units. The Earthaware Organic Accessory Pouch, the zipped organic cotton pouch, heavier, costs €6.80 excluding VAT embroidered at 10 units and €5.04 excluding VAT at 100.

These figures are our own prices, taken from the pouch product pages on 20 October 2026. They are unit prices excluding VAT, pouch and branding included, for a single placement, in standard sizes and the most affordable colour, shipping excluded, at the standard lead time. Larger sizes and a few colours carry a small extra, shown as soon as you choose them. For guidance only: these amounts may change, and the quote prevails.

The minimum is 10 branded pouches per model, and different sizes and colours add up: 30 size S pouches for lingerie and 20 size XS pouches for jewellery, with the same printed logo, count as 50.

When should you order your brand's pouches?

As standard, allow 10 working days for your branded pouches to be customised and shipped, at the grid price, then comes delivery: the basket shows its estimated date. The product page also offers other production times: one week, which costs 10% more, or four weeks, which take 5% off the price. So order them at least three weeks before you need them. For packaging that comes with a launch planned well ahead, the longer lead time lowers the bill.

Test each pouch size before the run

The perfect pouch is the one that closes around your product without strain, neither too loose nor too tight: something measurements do not always tell you. A blank pouch can be ordered from a single unit: take the size you have in mind, one size up and one down, slip your product in, pull the cord.

Once you have found the right size, the branded run starts from 10 units, with your brand's logo embroidered or printed. To lay the foundations of that identity, our guide to creating a clothing brand goes through the steps, from the logo to the first collection.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can the Cotton Stuff Bag be washed?

Westford Mill's Cotton Stuff Bag, our reference pouch, is sponge clean only, not machine washable, according to a reseller of the brand. Mention it on the card in the parcel.

Can a pouch be branded on both sides?

Yes: the displayed price covers one placement, and a second one, for example your website on the other side, adds to the price and shows on the quote. As with our garments, two branded placements per product at most.

Pouch or tote bag: which one for packaging?

The pouch packages and stores, the tote bag is carried on the shoulder: to deliver a product, the pouch is more compact and closes. The tote bag is rather a shopping or store bag, as our guide to tote bag sizes explains.

What is the minimum quantity for pouches with your logo?

Ten branded pouches, counted per model: sizes and colours add up. Unbranded, a pouch can be ordered one at a time.
